The Technical Director of JKA India Sensei Anand Ratna participated
in the Camp. The Chief Instructor of the JKA Shuseki Shihan Motokuni Sugiura conducted
a session of various kihon techniques used in katas while moving into the attack.
A lot of Kumite was
taught during the Camp including sparring with the JKA HQ Instructors. Basic Movements
ranging from KihonIppon
Kumite to Jiyu Kumite were instructed. Since the syllabus for the Technical qualification
exams werechanged

various senseis.
For those who were not participating in the exams. Katas Unsu and Meikyo were
taught by Aragaki Sensei and
supervised by Tanaka Sensei. Osaka
Sensei once again taught the basic movements required in the katasdemonstrating his amazing skill making
even the most complex movement look easy. Having won the
Shoto Cup
in Australia Unsu Sensei Aragaki
was the automatic choice for the demonstration of both the katas. Using her skill she also showed the
points which attention has to be paid to, those small details that make the difference between good kata and
average kata. The jump in Unsu took a lot of effort from everyone. The World champion in
Kumite Sensei Ogata also taught Sabaki or body shifting and the proper use of
sabakiin
all levels of kumite. The aspect of body shifting was used in Jiyu kumite practice
as well.The
final day's training was conducted by Imamura Sensei with katas right from H1
to Tokui kata being taken and the
main points being stressed on in regards to all the katas.During the Gasshuku,

Spain and Sergei Sensei from Belgium passed their Special Rights exam allowing
them power to grade upto San
Dan Level. Another notable achievement was Burra Sensei from Denmark passing his
