MAHARASHTRA SWEEPS INTER COLLEGIATE BOMBAY UNIVERSITY KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

| The JKA Maharashtra Branch had a great day at the Inter Collegiate Karate-do Championships of the |
| Bombay University conducted by MKA on the 27th and 28th February 2005. Apart from the Kata Event for |
| Ladies, it was a clean sweep for the JKA Ladies, winning all the Kumite events. Under 48 - Divya |
| Revankar,under 53 - Ninoshka Buthello under 60 Divya Kathawate and Open - Ninoshka Buthello. |
| In the Mens, Rohan Satam won the Kata Event, Aniket Kadam won the Gold in the 60-65 Kgs event while |
| Rohan Satam won the Silver Anand Mane won the .Bronze In the Open Anand Mane won the Silver |
| and Rohan Satam won the Bronze. Congratulations to all of them. |

KARATE ASSOCIATION ELECTIONS

| Senseis Anil Garodia and Anand Ratna were elected onto the Executive Committee of the MKA in the | ||
| Elections held on 18th February 2006. Sensei Garodia who stood for the post of Assistant Treasurer | ||
| got elected unopposed as there was no other nomination for the post. Sensei Ratna, the standing Vice | ||
| Chairman of the MKA was re- elected by the ballot. All members present had to vote.as another | ||
| candidate was also nominatedor the post. The new office bearers for the MKA are as follows | ||
